A field service app built for HVAC companies

The model and serial captured at the unit, the maintenance history sitting at the address, before & after photographs of the work, and the invoice that follows it.
A heating and air conditioning service van

Heating and air is an equipment business. Almost every question that comes back to the office — is it under warranty, what part does it take, when was it last serviced, who touched it before me — is a question about a specific unit at a specific address. ProTechCam keeps that record where the next technician will find it.

Model and serial, recorded at the unit

Warranty claims and parts orders both start with the model and serial number, and reading them off a condenser in August is not a job anyone wants to do twice. ProTechCam records equipment model and serial against the customer's address, so it's captured once and available to the office, the parts counter and every technician who comes after.

On a service call to a repeat customer, the technician arrives already knowing what's in the closet and what was done to it last time.

Before and after, with a date on it

The app captures before & after photos with a GPS time stamp. On a condenser replacement or a coil clean, that's the proof of what the equipment looked like when you arrived and what you left behind — useful with the customer, and useful with a manufacturer.

Notes dictated, not typed

Technicians take voice-to-text service notes — they say what they found and what they did, and it lands in the job file. Readable notes get written when writing them is easy.

Maintenance visits and the day's route

The technician sees the day's route in the app and clocks in and out per job, so the office can see progress through a maintenance day without ringing round. Each visit adds to the history at that address.

Estimate to invoice

Office Pro turns the visit into an estimate, gets it signed by the customer, converts the approved estimate into a work order, and invoices when the work is finished. Customers can pay by card through Stripe, and the money goes to your own bank account — ProTechCam takes nothing from it.

What ProTechCam isn't

There's no load calculation, no inventory management, no payroll and no membership billing. If those are what you're shopping for, the larger platforms cover them and our pricing comparison shows what they charge.

Common questions

Does it keep a history per unit or per address?

Equipment is recorded against the customer's address, so every visit and every unit at that property builds up in one place.

Can a technician look up what was done last time?

Yes. The job history, photos and notes at that address are visible in the app.

What does it cost for three technicians?

$42 a month at $14 each, with no seat minimum and a free 14-day trial. Office Pro adds estimates, invoicing and card payments for $79 a month including two office logins.

Do we need the office plan to use the technician app?

No. The $14 technician app works on its own. Office Pro is only needed for estimates, invoices and taking card payments.
