Most comparison pages in this industry quote no prices at all — they say "more affordable" and leave it there. This one lists the published numbers, names the source, and tells you where a price isn't public. Check them yourself; every source is linked at the bottom.
The short version
These products are not all the same thing, and pretending otherwise wouldn't help you choose. Broadly there are three groups:
- Job documentation apps — photos, notes and proof from the field. ProTechCam and CompanyCam sit here.
- Full operations platforms — scheduling, dispatch, CRM, marketing, payroll. Jobber, Housecall Pro, Service Fusion, FieldPulse and ServiceTitan sit here, and they're priced accordingly.
- ProTechCam spans both at the small end: the field app is $14 a technician, and Office Pro adds estimates, work orders, invoicing and card payments for $79 a month.
If you need dispatch boards, call booking, memberships, inventory and payroll, one of the big platforms is the right answer and this page won't argue otherwise. If you need every job documented and the paperwork that follows it, keep reading.

What this means for a small crew
The gap shows up at the bottom end, where most service businesses actually live.
- One tech, one truck. ProTechCam is $14 a month. CompanyCam's Pro plan bills for three users at $79 whether you have three or not.
- Three techs. ProTechCam is $42. Service Fusion's Starter plan is $245 a month, though it includes unlimited users — which is why it becomes the better deal as a company grows.
- Growing past seven. ProTechCam's per-tech price drops to $11 at 8–15 technicians and $10 at 16 and above.
Per-user pricing is cheaper when the crew is small and gets more expensive as it grows; unlimited-user pricing is the reverse. Neither is a trick — they suit different sizes of business, and it's worth doing the arithmetic for the crew you have.
Where ProTechCam fits
ProTechCam is built around the service call itself. The technician's app captures before & after photos with GPS time stamps, clock in and out, the day's route, voice-to-text service notes, the customer's signature, and the equipment model and serial number — all synced live to the office.
Office Pro adds the paperwork side: estimates, converting an estimate into a work order, invoicing, card payments through Stripe, payment tracking and a revenue dashboard. That's $79 a month including two office logins, with additional staff at $19 each.
What it isn't: ProTechCam doesn't do payroll, marketing automation, call booking or inventory management. If those are on your list, look at the operations platforms above.
Common questions
Which is cheapest for a solo contractor?
On published entry prices, ProTechCam at $14 a month is the lowest here. Jobber's Core plan is $24 a month if you prepay a year, or $49 month-to-month, and covers a broader set of office features.
Do any of them include unlimited users?
Service Fusion does, on every plan. That's the trade-off for its higher entry price.
Why won't you quote ServiceTitan's price?
Because they don't publish one. Any figure we printed would be someone else's estimate presented as fact.
Can I try ProTechCam before paying?
Yes — 14 days free, no contract, cancel any time from the app or the web dashboard.
