A field service app built for electricians

What the panel looked like before you opened it, what you installed, the serial number on it, and the customer's signature — captured on the phone and synced to the office.
An electrical contractor's service van

Electrical work is inspected, argued over and revisited years later. The panel you touched in March is the panel someone asks about in November. ProTechCam is built so the record of what you did is a photograph with a date on it, filed at the address, rather than something a technician has to remember.

The panel, before and after

Opening a panel that somebody else wired is a good moment to take a photograph. ProTechCam captures before & after photos with a GPS time stamp, so the state you found it in is documented — which protects you when a pre-existing problem surfaces later, and gives the office something concrete to show the customer.

What went in, and its serial number

ProTechCam records equipment model and serial against the address — panels, generators, EV chargers, surge protection. When a manufacturer asks, or when the customer calls three years on, the information is already in the file next to the photo of the installation and the date.

Notes from the field

Technicians dictate voice-to-text service notes rather than typing them, so what was found and what was done actually gets written down while it's fresh.

Approval, signed at the job

Extra work gets approved on the phone with the customer's signature attached to the job. On the office side, Office Pro builds the estimate, sends it for signature, turns the approved estimate into a work order, and invoices when it's finished — with card payment through Stripe straight into your own bank account.

Hours and the day's route

The app shows each technician the day's route and records clock in and out per job, which gives the office a live picture of the day and a record behind the timesheet.

What ProTechCam isn't

It doesn't price material, manage inventory, run payroll or book calls. It documents the job and handles the paperwork that follows. The comparison page lists the platforms that do the rest, and what they cost.

Common questions

Can we photograph a panel before we start and prove the date?

Yes — every photo carries a GPS time stamp with date, time and location, and is filed against that job.

Is the equipment record searchable later?

Equipment is stored against the customer's address, so a return visit finds the model and serial already recorded.

What does it cost for a solo electrician?

$14 a month with no seat minimum and a free 14-day trial. Add Office Pro at $79 a month if you want estimates, invoicing and card payments.

Can the customer sign on the technician's phone?

Yes. The signature is captured in the app and attached to the job record.
